Rolling Meadows police received a report about 6:58 PM Tuesday of a burglary/gypsy scam attempt near Auburn and Foxcroft on Auburn Rolling Meadows, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders attempted a gypsy/ruse scam. The offenders attempted to check the water and distract the resident.
One offender was discovered going through the bedroom. Two male/Hispanics — one was described as heavyset. Both offenders left in a small SUV.
Police are investigating.
