Illinois State Police, and firefighters and paramedics from Hoffman Estates responded about 11:18 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 to a report of a crash with injuries on westbound I-90 just east of Bartlett Road at Mile Marker 60.5 in Hoffman Estates. Firefighters and paramedics received a report that the driver of a small white vehicle drove under the rear of a semi-trailer truck, bounced off the truck, and then hit a wall on the tollway.
Two injured crash victims were able to get out of their small white vehicle. A second ambulance was dispatched by 11:31 p.m.
Initially one patient was planned for transported with injuries that were initially believed to be non-life-threatening. The second patient was deciding on transport.
The truck driver was apparently not injured.
Lanes 2, 3 and 4 were blocked after the crash. Lane 1 was partially blocked with vehicles using the left shoulder near Lane 1.
