Cook County Sheriff’s Police, and firefighters and paramedics from North Maine Fire Protection District responded about 3:46 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2021 to a report that two people were shot at an apartment at 9612 Greenwood Avenue in unincorporated Des Plaines.
Paramedics from North Maine Fire Protection District and Glenview Fire Department each transported an injured victim to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
The shooting suspect is described as a male/Hispanic wearing a black knit cap, a black hoodie, a black gaiter mask, black pants and armed with a handgun. He is reported to have fled in a tan “Jeep Cherokee” and was last seen southbound on Greenwood Avenue
