A robber was shot dead by a cellphone store employee who had a concealed handgun permit in the Humboldt Park neighborhood Saturday evening, police said (CBS Chicago).
Police, firefighters and paramedics from Chicago responded about 6:50 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2020 to a report that a person was shot at the Metro by T-Mobile store, 3243 West Chicago Avenue in Chicago. The gunshot victim was transported to Cook County Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police learned that the shooting victim was an alleged armed robber who displayed a gun while robbing the store. A 29 year-old male employee of the Metro by T-Mobile store with a CCW (Illinois Concealed Carry License/CCL) was also armed and shot the robber in the chest.
