Police, firefighters and paramedics from Schaumburg responded about 5:09 p.m. Sunday, November 2020 to a report of a serious rollover crash with entrapment. Police on arrival by 5:11 p.m. reported that two people were trapped in a rollover vehicle with one person trapped under a door. A second ambulance was requested based on that report by police.
The first fire crew on arrival reported two patients pinned in a rolled car with both unconscious. Firefighter/paramedics worked with extrication tools to free a person from a crashed vehicle. Truck 51’s crew was assigned to bring Hurst tool equipment to the passenger side of the vehicle.
One person got out of the vehicle on their own. A third ambulance was requested for an apparent Basic Life Support patient by 5:17 p.m.
A passenger was extricated by 5:19 p.m. while crews were in process of extricating the driver The second person, apparently the driver, was extricated by 5:23 p.m.
Two vehicles were wrecked at the southwest corner of Irving Park Road and Rodenburg Road in Schaumburg. A Silver station wagon was upside down on its roof at the south west corner near the St. John Lutheran Church sign. A red sedan was in a ditch upright in the south west corner of the Saint John Lutheran church property.
