Cook County Sheriff’s Police detectives are seeking information to aid in their search for a man believed to be armed and dangerous, Sheriff Thomas J. Dart said today.
An arrest warrant was issued today for Joseph L. Lopez Jr., 34, of Mount Prospect, for aggravated domestic violence. He is the suspected of severely beating a woman late Tuesday night inside a car in a parking lot in unincorporated Palatine.
Lopez has threatened to shoot police officers that come in contact with him, and kill himself.
Sheriff Dart asks the public not to approach Lopez and asks anyone with information about Lopez’s whereabouts to call 708-865-4896.
