Firefighter/paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 7:45 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 to a report of activated fire alarms at commercial/medical professional office buildings along Central Road near Northwest Community Hospital, 800 West Central Avenue.
The activated alarms were most likely caused by power fluctuations on the ComEd grid associated with a few power outages.
A second outage occurred about 8:07 a.m. northeast of the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Hintz Road, affecting customers in Buffalo Grove and possibly Arlington Heights.
The outage near Central Road has interrupted power for about five ComEd customers. Restoration time at this area is estimated October 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
