Illinois State Police, Chicago police and local departments across the state are preparing to enforce Gov. Pritzker’s stay-at-home order.
Law enforcement leaders stated that the police won’t be chasing people down when they violate the Stay at Home executive order. Police are mostly interested in enforcing the law at business establishments, so that groups can’t congregate at the business and be at risk of coronavirus exposure.
Authorities say there is no martial law planned, but Illinois National Guard placement is assigned to assist with logistics, engineering help, and medical support.
