The late February snow storm forecast continues to trend toward less snowfall and a more southerly track of the main narrow snow band. As expected, the National Weather Service has dropped the Winter Storm Watch for all of Illinois and moved the Winter Storm Watch to approximately the north half of Indiana. Lake County (Illinois), McHenry County, Kane County and counties west and north have been excluded from the Winter Weather Advisory as well.
The Winter Weather Advisory band runs from northeast Missouri to about a middle third of Illinois to northeast Illinois to southern Michigan. Less accumulation is forecast in the northern edge of the band and more accumulation is forecast in the southern edge of the band.
