Algonquin Police and firefighter/paramedics from Algonquin-Lake in the Hills FPD responded about 3:03 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2020 to a report of a house fire in the block of 0-99 Alice Lane. Firefighters upon arrival were committed to a working house fire with fire showing from the house.
A MABAS Division 5 Box Alarm (#141) was activated at 3:18 p.m. Mutual aid was assigned from Cary, Carpentersville, East Dundee, Fox River Grove, Huntley, McHenry, Nunda, and Palatine.
Barrington-Countryside and Rutland-Dundee crews were assigned to a fire station nearby for station standby.
Staging for fire equipment was at Algongquin Middle School at 520 Longwood Drive in Algonquin.
Extra fire companies were being released by 4:00 p.m. and the MABAS Box Alarm was struck out at 4:03 p.m.
