The Rosemont Public Safety Department (Police) have released surveillance photos of retail theft suspects accused of stealing almost $53,000 in merchandise on Friday, January 3, 2020 from the Moncler store in the Fashion Outlets of Chicago Mall, 5220 Fashion Outlets Way.
Authorities report that six male offenders entered Moncler, a luxury apparel and lifestyle store, about 7:50 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2020, split directions, and ran through the store. As they ran through the store they grabbed as many items as they could carry. The offenders then fled the store and drove away in a Chevy Malibu with Tennessee license plate 4N06K1. The vehicle was discovered to be a rental car reported stolen out of Chicago from Hertz on November 25, 2019. The crime occurred about an hour before the store closes at 9:00 p.m. on Fridays.
The offenders left with 45 items with a total value of $52,650.
From the images supplied, possibly only four of the suspects are displayed, as one subject possibly appears to be a female, and another suspect appears to be displayed as a duplicate among the six figures revealed.
Although the Rosemont Detective Division labeled the crime as a Retail Theft, some law enforcement agencies label multiple offender crimes as a “robbery” because of the implied force possible from multiple offenders.
The Rosemont Public Safety Department urges any citizens with information to call 847-823-1139 or send an email to [email protected].
