Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:39 AM Saturday January 25, 2020 to a report of a bicyclist down Crabtree Drive and Waverly Drive Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a snow plow driver discovered a female bicyclist down on Crabtree Drive just south of Waverly Drive.
The caller reported that the bicyclist was conscious, but not responding to communication.
Initially, there was no indication how long the bicyclist was down, or whether she was hit by another vehicle. The bicyclist was transported to Northwest Community Hospital.
There is new snow on the ground overnight, but treated streets were mostly clear in Arlington Heights. About 5/8″ of new snow accumulated on private driveways, sidewalks and yards overnight.
