Skokie police responded about 11:30 a.m. Monday October 7, 2019 to a report that seven offenders stole approximately $20,000 valued merchandise consisting of handbag and purses from Nordstrom at Old Orchard Mall — 4937 Old Orchard Shopping Center in Skokie, Illinois.
Five male offenders and two female offenders entered the store, and stole the purses, walking away with 10 to 12 purses while the offenders were inside the store for less than one minute.
Skokie police reported they were unaware of any surveillance video available while investigating Monday afternoon.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
The Nordstrom store at Woodfield Mall reported losses in two similar crimes in the past two months. No physical description details were initially available from Skokie Police Department.
