Immigration agents detained five people at Route 66 Pizza in the East Side neighborhood. CBS 2’s Tara Molina reports.
ICE detained five workers from Route 66 Pizza at 10180 South Indianapolis Avenue in Chicago detained and transferred to a holding facility in downtown Chicago. Four men and one woman were detained between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2019.
United Workers’ Center Executive Director Ana Guajardo told CBS Chicago’s Tara Molina that the center works to ensure that workers have proper legal representation.
ICE provided no press release and told CBS Chicago that details were not being disclosed because of operational security and privacy reasons.
