Aurora police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:15 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019 to a report that a man was found stabbed at a home in the block of 600 Hinman Street in Aurora, Illinois.
Upon arrival Aurora police officers found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds outside of a home. Aurora Fire Department paramedics attempted life-saving measures and rushed the man to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Aurora Police Department Detectives responded to the scene and began interviewing potential witnesses, canvassing the neighborhood and investigating the specific circumstances of the incident as part of a homicide investigation. Evidence Technicians from Aurora Police’s Evidence Unit also responded to the scene to identify and collect forensic evidence from the stabbing.
Aurora police did not initially state whether the man was a resident at the home where he was stabbed. Police also did not initially described whether the victim was stabbed inside or outside the home.
Aurora police stated that their preliminary investigation concluded the stabbing is an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the community.
