Arlington Heights police received a report about 11:31 AM Wednesday September 11, 2019 of a theft in the block of 1300 East Northwest Highway Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender stole a victim’s personal belongings and groceries at a residence near Northwest Highway and Chatham Place after offering to take the victim shopping.
Police received a report that a male offender offered to give the victim a ride so the victim could get groceries at the grocery store. After shopping, the male offender dropped the victim back off at his residence, but drove away before the victim could retrieve his personal belongings from the offender’s vehicle. The offender unlawfully took the victim’s wallet containing various credit and debit cards and the newly purchased groceries valued at approximately $110.
The offender was described as a male/black approximately 5’8” with dreadlocks, a tattoo on his neck going down to his back, wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and Timberland boots.
The Arlington Height Police Department did not specify the grocery store, but Mariano’s is the nearest grocery store at 802 East Northwest Highway — one-quarter mile west of the residence. Initially no vehicle description of the suspect’s vehicle or security image of the suspect was provided by the Arlington Heights Police Department.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:30 AM, and is being investigated by the Arlington Heights Police Department.
