Skokie police responded about 4:03 PM Thursday August 15, 2019 to an armed robbery at the Byline Bank, 8400 Skokie Boulevard Skokie, IL. Police received a report that a woman robbed the bank armed with a gun.
The offender was described as a female/black 5’0″ medium build, in her 50s, wearing a green scarf over her face, a green top over a striped dress with a red and yellow design, light shoes and displayed a black handgun.
The suspect was also the driver of the getaway car. She drove away in a dark gray Nissan Versa. The vehicle and offender were last seen westbound on Main Street from Skokie Boulevard. Initially there were no passenger reported to be in the Nissan Versa.
Initially, the report stated that an unknown amount of US cash was taken.
The bank robbery in Skokie is reported to have occurred at 4:03 p.m.
The suspect is believed to be the same suspect that robbed the Wintrust Bank at 7555 North Western Avenue in Chicago earlier Thursday August 15, 2019 at 11:52 a.m.
The suspect was wearing different clothing described as a light blue and whitish dress, a medium blue coat, and a medium blue and light blue headscarf.
The woman also appears to be the same woman that robbed the Huntington Bank located at 10240 South Cicero Avenue in Oak Lawn, Illinois on Monday, April 29, 2019, at 2:39 p.m.
