THIS SECOND SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT OCCURRED NEAR PAUL REVERE PARK
On Sunday May 26, 2019, at approximately 9:35 a.m., a Schaumburg police officer was dispatched to the area of 2500 West Holmes Way to speak with a mother and her juvenile son about a delayed report. The mother and son reported he was skateboarding westbound on Holmes Way, towards the 2500 block, on Saturday May 25 at approximately 2:00 p.m. when he was approached by a male black driver in a silver vehicle who offered him a ride. The location is near Camden Court and near Paul Revere Park.
The juvenile declined a ride and the subject drove away. The suspect is described as being in his 30’s, with jaw length dreadlocks and driving a silver vehicle. The suspect and vehicle from this incident appear to be similar to the suspect and suspect’s vehicle from the previously reported child luring incident that occurred on Thursday May 23 2019 on Hillcrest Boulevard just west of Roselle Road near the border of Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates. The two locations are about 5 miles apart.
The Schaumburg Police Department is investigating this incident and added additional patrols throughout the village. Anyone who may have been in the area or who may have seen the suspect or vehicle is requested to contact the Schaumburg Police Department Detective Division at 847-882-3534.
