A push of cooler air just passed through the northwest suburbs from northeast to southwest about 6:40 p.m. Air temperature at Waukegan is 55°F and air temperature at Joliet is 71°F at 6:50 p.m. Air temperature is 64°F to 66°F and falling in Arlington Heights at 6:50 p.m.
Monday morning a warm front is expected to move north into our area with a low pressure system advancing from the west, bringing instability to the area. Currently, the storms are not expected to be severe in the morning.
Severe weather is possible in the afternoon and evening, but there is low confidence whether the severe wether would be north or south of Interstate 80.
Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com) shows a push of cool air moving from northeast to southwest over Chicagoland, passing through the middle of Kane County and southwest DuPage County, and the middle of Will County at 7:05 p.m.
