UPDATE: IN CUSTODY … Kenosha police are looking for 15-year-old Martice Fuller as a person of interest in the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Kaylie Juga Thursday afternoon.
Kenosha police and Kenosha County Sheriff’s deputies responded about 3:00 p.m. Thursday May 9, 2019 to a report of people shot in the block of 10900 of 66th Street just east of Horizon Park.
Kaylie Juga, age 16, and her 39-year-old mother were both shot. Kaylie Juga’s mother was seriously wounded in the shooting, and Kaylie died at the scene from her injuries.
SWAT was set up at the address and entered the house, cautiously considering that the shooter may still still be in the house. A Bearcat armored vehicle pulled up close to the front of the home. When police entered, they confirmed the shooter was gone.
Detectives identified 15-year-old Martice Fuller as a person of interest in the fatal shooting. Police said Fuller had been in a relationship with Kaylie, and that he fled the scene after the shooting.
Martice Fuller was arrested in Racine, Wisconsin early Friday morning, but initially details about the arrest were not available.
The shooting took place near the intersection of 66th and 65th St. in Kenosha.
