Bartlett police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:28 AM Thursday May 9, 2019 to a report of a crash involving a passenger car and a semi-trailer truck at Army Trail Road and Route 59 Bartlett, Il. Police were first on the scene reported an unresponsive female in the passenger car, and that she was the only one person injured.
Tower Ladder 3’s crew was the first on the scene, and on arrival reported a car crash with a semi-trailer truck with a car with heavy damage.
The female patient was transported away from the scene at about 11:42 a.m. with paramedics from Bartlett Medic 2. She was transported to Central DuPage Hospital, where her condition was initially not released.
The Hanover Park Emergency Services unit was requested about 11:50 a.m. for traffic control for an extended crash investigation. The Speed Limit on Army Trail east of Route 59 is 45 MPH and west of Route 59 is 40 MPH according to Google Street View November 2018 and October 2018 respectively. The Speed Limit on Route 59 is 45 north and south of Army Trail Road according to Google Street View November 2018.
Most or all fire and rescue vehicles cleared the scene by about 12:05 p.m.

In a strange coincidence, police departments from the cities of Bartlett, Hoffman Estates, Joliet, Naperville, Plainfield, Shorewood, Streamwood, Warrenville, Wauconda, Wayne and West Chicago; and sheriff’s departments from Cook, DuPage, Lake and Will counties were planning to participate in a Route 59 corridor traffic safety and education initiative (Route 59 on 5/9) on Thursday May 9, 2019.
