Arlington Heights police and Buffalo Grove firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:39 PM Tuesday April 9, 2019 to a report of a crash with injuries at Road and Downing Road Arlington Heights. A total of three ambulances were on the scene with at least three people injured. Initially the call was perceived as within the Buffalo Grove jurisdiction, but the call was actually in Arlington Heights.
Firefighters also responded about 3:51 p.m. to a smoke investigation at Jersey Mike’s at 171 North McHenry Road. Police in the area saw smoke at the building, the smoke was from workers doing roof repair. Some smoke made it inside the restaurant so firefighters made sure the problem was remedied and that smoke was ventilated from the building’s interior.
