VIDEO: Crash scene at Northwest Highway and Wilke Road where a silver sedan hit a large steel overhead traffic signal where construction for improvements of the intersection were recently completed.
Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:39 AM Thursday February 28, 2019 to a report of a crash with injuries at Northwest Highway and Wilke Road Arlington Heights, Il . Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a car crashed into a pole and was off the road.
Police and firefighter/paramedics arrived to find a large steel overhead traffic signal and steel pole down at the northeast corner of Northwest Highway and Wilke Road.
A silver sedan with heavy front-end damage came to rest at the south side of Northwest Highway about 150 feet east of Wilke Road.
One person was transported to Northwest Community Hospital.
Arlington Heights Police Department is investigating the crash.
