Arlington Heights police responded about 11:24 AM Tuesday to a report of an armed robbery at Ultimate Exposure, 1085 East Golf Road. Police received a report that an offender armed with a knife took a cell phone and $90 cash at the tanning salon as he handed a note. The offender was described as a male/black with a mustache, age 20-25, wearing a hooded jacket. The offender handed the female victim a note and grabbed the business phone and the victim’s cell phone.
The offender is reported to have run around the back of the building. He was then observed heading eastbound. The female victim was not injured; she went to another business nearby to get help from the police. The cell phone taken is reported to be an Apple iPhone 4s. The crime was reported to have occurred about 11:00 a.m.
Investigators and an evidence technician responded to the scene. The business phone was found within an hour after the crime.
