A popular fifth-grade teacher fatally shot a masked teenager in self-defense outside his neighbor’s house during what appeared to be an attempted late-night burglary, then discovered the teen was his son, police said.
A man, who lives next door to his sister, responded to his sister’s call for help for a possible intruder. The man found a person on the driveway wearing all black and a ski mask, and armed with a knife. The offender lunged at the man, and the man shot and killed the subject on the driveway. When the ski mask was pulled off of the subject, the man learned that the offender was his own son.
