One of five subjects detained and investigated at Wilke and Grove, and then transported to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters in custody.
Arlington Heights police responded about 9:28 PM Thursday to a report of a strong arm robbery in the 1700 block of West Campbell Street. Police received a report that three males robbed a victim near Walgreens, 1711 West Campbell Street. The subjects were described as two male/white subjects age 15-17 and one male/black subject age 15-17. Police initially received a report that the offenders took money and also took a cell phone. They possibly took a cell phone, only.
The direction of travel of the offenders was described as either southbound New Wilke Road or eastbound Campbell Street.
Police caught up with the offenders at Grove and Wilke Road by 10:00 p.m. Possibly five offenders (four male/white subjects and one male/black subject) were transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters.
No confirmation whether the offenders new the victim.
