Clouds over Vail Street Market: Tame thunderstorms brought about an additional one-half inch of rain overnight Saturday/Sunday.
Arlington Heights and the northwest suburbs received about 1.33 inches of rain yesterday and overnight. A brief, intense thunderstorm with tree damage brought about .77 inches of rain from about 1:00 p.m. to 1:20 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Another downpour brought about .47 inches with a steady rain Lighter rain occurred after about 12:50 a.m. Sunday.
