Thursday’s high is forecast at 51°F, but some areas of Chicagoland might not hit 50°F — unusual for late May.

The record low for May 30 and May 31 is 35°F, set in 1873. At least we’re far from that temperature. Last Sunday May 27, 2012, Chicago weather broke a record high temp with 97°F. Monday, May 28, 2012 broke a record high with 95°F.
