Arlington Heights police responded about 10:33 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a suspicious incident in the 1600 block of West Miner Street. Police received a report that an unknown man was at the resident’s back door and wouldn’t leave. The man hid at the side of the house when the resident went outside to check on the man. The man then ran eastbound on Miner Street.
Arlington Heights police also responded about 10:42 p.m. Tuesday to a report of suspicious incident in the 1500 block of West Fremont Street. Police received a report that an unknown man checked the front door of a residence and jiggled the door handle. The man then walked away from the locked door. The man was described as a male/white about 30-35 years-old with a short haircut and wearing a brown jacket. He was last seen walking westbound on Fremont.
Police contacted a suspicious subject in the 1600 block of West Fremont by 10:43 p.m. Several police units were on the scene investigating the incidents.
Police also received a report about 11:00 p.m. Tuesday of a suspicious man in the 300 block of North Yale Avenue. Police received a report that a resident saw a male/Hispanic 5’0″ with a shaved head wearing a light brown shirt and dark pants walking between a neighbors house. The unknown man was last seen walking toward Euclid Avenue.
Arlington Heights police had one male in custody and en route to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters about 11:15 p.m. The man was possibly charged with trespassing and other charges.
