New snowfall for Chicagoland area and Arlington Heights Saturday, January 28, 2012
A total of 1.0 inch of snow fell in Arlington Heights from 9:45 p.m. Friday until 5:45 a.m. Saturday. The light snow began as ice pellets. The snow is dry and fluffy — not good packing for snowmen and snowballs.
Snow cover varies from 1.0 inch to about 3 inches. There were large snow barren spots before the overnight 1-inch snow. It feels cold, even though its sunny and 27°F. Wind can kill the temperature. AccuWeather RealFeel® was 17°F with a west wind of 13 mph.
