Arlington Heights police received a report about 12:36 Tuesday of a burglary to vehicle parked in the Ashton Apartments parking lot, 2302 Goebbert Road. Police received a report that a vehicle owner with malfunctioning locks took the vehicle to a mechanic, and learned that the problem with the locks was caused by an attempted burglary to the vehicle.
