Chicago police, firefighters and paramedics responded about 6:00 p.m. Sunday August 5, 2018 to a report of a person hit by a train at the Clybourn overpass on Ashland Avenue. A deceased victim was found near the Clybourn Metra station — a missing teen’s body was found Sunday evening about 6:00 p.m. on the Metra tracks near the Clybourn overpass on Ashland Avenue. The identity of the body wasn’t discovered until Monday because items of identification were discovered on or near the teen’s body.
The victim was identified as Sincere Ash, age 17. The Lane Tech High School student — expecting to start his senior year — was reported missing after he was last seen Sunday at 4:15 p.m. at the Lollapalooza music fest, according to family and friends. Sincere Ash may have been briefly detained at the festival for not having a valid wristband, according to family and friends. A missing persons report was filed, and missing person fliers were distributed by his family.

A family statement announced they’re devastated over his death in the “tragic accident.” A GoFundMe was started to help the family with funeral costs.
