Arlington Heights police received a report of a theft of a wallet that occurred on Wednesday January 4, 2012 about 1:45 p.m. at Marshalls, 601 East Palatine Road. Police report that apparently several offenders worked together to steal the victim’s wallet. The victim was shopping when she heard a woman say she was going to stab someone in the eye with a sharp object. She looks over to the woman who then talks about how bad she needed a cigarette. The woman talked to the victim for about 10 minutes before the victim left without making a purchase. She realized the wallet was missing when she took her purse out of the cart. The victim reported that she was being distracted while a second offender removed the wallet.
The purple leather type wallet contained a driver’s license, credit/debit cards and various gift cards valued at over $220.

The offender was described as a female/white 45-50-years-old, 5’5″ with a medium build, long straight brown hair, and wearing green sweater and blue jeans.
