VIDEO: Two arrested after fight on outbound Metra train about 1:15-1:30 am. Sunday.
Arlington Heights police responded about 1:31 a.m. Sunday to a report of a fight on the train, which was about to stop at the Arlington Park Metra train station. Police received a report that 15 to 20 people were fighting on a Metra train with a conductor reporting that beer bottles were being thrown around. Conductors were working to get the fight under control in the third and fourth train cars before police arrived within three minutes.
After police arrived, one female white subject was seen gently pushing two men out of the vestibule exit, down the stairs of the train car.
The Metra train stopped for an extended time at the train station as police sorted out who might be at fault for fighting. Train #601 — on the schedule for a 1:16 a.m. departure — left the Arlington Park Metra station about 1:43 a.m. Police took two adult white/male subjects into custody and transported them to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. Police also transported two other subjects — not in custody — to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The two were apparently witnesses to the fight.
