UDPATE: Three Vehicle Burglaries Updated to Five Vehicles
Unknown offender or offenders entered a 1997 Ford Escort (no signs of force) and removed a Dell laptop computer, computer case and GPS unit
Unknown offender or offenders entered a 2001 Blue Chevy Blazer (no signs of force) and ransacked the interior. Nothing appeared to be missing.
Unknown offender or offenders entered the Silver Nissan Altima and removed a grey leather purse containing credit/debit cards, D.L. and wallet.
Unknown offender or offenders entered the 2005 Black Hyundai Tucson and removed an Olive Garden coin purse.
Offender seen in the 2005 Silver Toyota Highlander. When confronted, the offender fled leaving behind several items taken from earlier vehicle burglaries (UPDATED OFFENDER DESCRIPTION: Male/White – Teen – 15 to 16yrs – no glasses – no facial hair – wearing dark hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants).
Laptop computer, case and GPS taken from the Ford Escort were discovered at the scene of the Toyota Highlander when an offender was interrupted. A purse from the silver Nissan Altima was also found in a neighbor’s yard.

Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:58 p.m. Saturday of a burglary to vehicle in progress in the 1900 block of North Verde. Police received a report that an offender just took items from the back seat of a vehicle and took off.
Police immediately set up a perimeter in the area of Kennicott and Palatine Road and west toward Route 53. Police also received a report that the offender may have taken a suitcase. The item may have been taken in an earlier burglary that was reported in the 2400 block of North Kennicott Avenue at about 8:16 p.m.
A third victim drove away from the neighborhood and realized that a purse was missing from the vehicle. The victim returned to the neighborhood to give report to the police already on the scene for the first two vehicle burglaries.
One of the victims described the offender as a male/white thin build, wearing a black hoodie that was walking southbound on the west side of Verde toward Palatine Road.
Police also received a report of two people walking southbound near garden path north of the Frontier Park fieldhouse. The two subjects were found entering a white SUV parked in the lot south of the Frontier Park facility about 9:25 p.m. They were investigated and released.
