Arlington Heights police responded about 1:11 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a shoplifter in a physical fight with store security at True Value Hardware, 1215 East Rand Road. Police received a report that the suspect was uncooperative and was in a physical fight with store security inside the store. The suspect was described as a male/white, wearing black pants, a blue shirt and a brown suede jacket.
Police responded within three minutes and reported the situation under control with one in custody. Police transported the offender in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The offender’s bicycle was transported to a police holding area.
