Lansing police responded to the LA Fitness at 17365 Torrence Avenue to investigate a shooting after a woman was shot and transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital just after midnight, Sunday July 22, 2018.
The woman was apparently shot and mortally wounded in the gym parking lot during or after an argument. The unidentified female victim was shot once. A friend of the victim drove her to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The identity of the shooting victim was not immediately released.
Police have not made any arrests in the case, and an investigation is underway by the Lansing Police Department and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force.
