Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:20 a.m. Monday to a car vs. tree crash at Waterman and Sherwood, just north of Hersey High School. Police called for a portable breathalyzer test device. No confirmation if the crash involved a DUI arrest, and no confirmation whether the driver was transported to the hospital.
A gray Mercury Grand Marquis was towed from the scene with heavy front-end damage.
