Victim Stabbed in the Chest Approaches Cook County Sheriff at Algonquin Rd and Kimball Hill

Rolling Meadows police responded about 11:40 p.m. Friday to a stabbing near the intersection of Algonquin Road and Kimball Hill. Police received a report from a Cook County Sheriff unit that happened to be in the area that a man walked up to the officer with a stab wound in the chest. The victim was a male in his lower 30’s. When Rolling Meadows police arrived about one minute later, they asked dispatch to have the paramedics “step it up.”

The victim or a witness told police the stabbing occurred at an apartment in the 4700 block of Arbor Drive. Police reported a crime scene at the apartment with blood found in the apartment. The scene was immediately secured for evidence and investigation.

The victim was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.

The offender was described as male/Hispanic 5’8″ 160 LBS, wearing a blue polo shirt, blue pants and tan shoes. Police had a name on the suspect and asked Arlington Heights police to assist with a search at his workplace — a hotel in Arlington Heights. According to Arlington Heights police, the suspect was not found at the workplace.

A vehicle was towed from Algonquin Road and Kimball Hill to Rolling Meadows Police Headquarters for investigation.
