Mount Prospect firefighter/paramedics and police responded about 6:50 a.m. Wednesday to a report of an ‘armored car’ truck fire in front of Bally’s Fitness, 225 West Rand Road, Mount Prospect. The guard/driver of the truck was able to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher before firefighters arrived.
No word on any flare up of the fire, and no word of any security problems with the armored car.
