Explosions at night break levee: Suburban Memphis is preparing for a flood after the U.S. Army corp of engineers intentionally broke through a Missouri levee to save an Illinois town. Now the rush of water is headed toward Tennessee.
Water has covered acres of rich farmland. The U.S. Army corp of engineers sacrificed 130,000 acres of farmland and about 100 homes in Missouri to spare Cairo, Illinois. The agricultural department and FEMA is working to provide relief for those affected.
