Naperville police responded just after 4:30 a.m. Monday to an activated burglar alarm at the Apple Store Naperville, 120 West Jefferson Avenue. The alarm activated at 4:31 a.m. and police arrived at 4:43 a.m. Monday.
Naperville police report that five offenders wearing hoodies or hooded coats smashed the glass front door of the store. The offenders were also wearing ski masks, and gloves; and were able to remove about $30,000 of burglary proceeds of computer equipment in tote bags in less than one minute.
The burglary is the third early morning burglary at the Naperville Apple Store in seven months.
In January, Naperville police responded about 5:15 a.m. Sunday January 16, 2011 to a burglar alarm at the Apple Store at 120 West Jefferson Avenue. Police responded immediately and discovered the front glass doors and windows shattered.
Security video showed that two offenders entered the store wearing ski masks and gloves. They were carrying tote containers that were used to transport and remove computer equipment valued at $30,000.
On Wednesday, September 22, 2010 about 4:49 a.m. Wednesday, a Naperville police officer discovered a broken glass front door and discovered that a burglary had occurred at the Apple Store, 120 West Jefferson Avenue. The Apple Store was burglarized with about $24,000 in merchandise reported stolen. The store was reported to have had a burglar alarm and video surveillance at the time of the first burglary, but there is no word from police or store officials on the result or usefulness of those security systems.

Naperville Police Department are investigating the Apple Store burglaries. Any citizens with information about the burglaries are urged to call the Naperville Police Department at 630-420-6666 or Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006.
Callers to Crime Stoppers can choose to remain anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest in the burglaries.
They should hire an armed guard.
