Subway has topped McDonald’s as the world’s largest restaurant chain in number of restaurants, according to the The Wall Street Journal.
Subway says it had 33,749 restaurants worldwide at the end of 2010, compared with McDonald’s 32,737.
The Journal says McDonald’s figures came in an SEC filing last month. According to WSJ, Subway menus are easier to deliver around the world, and Subway stores are popping in more places where people are already shopping.

This number is surprising ! I would never think that Subwayhas more restaurants then McDonalds.
Stinky par-baked bread, the cheapest quality meats and cheeses known to man, less than fresh toppings, and less than sanitary conditions. That,in my opinion, is your typical Subway. Yet the masses still flock there. lol
Mmmm! I love Subway sandwiches!! So glad to hear that we have more Subway restaurants then mMickeyDs.
