Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:55 PM Friday to a report of an unconscious juvenile passed out in the street near the intersection on Fernandez Avenue just north of Grove. As police arrived within two minutes, officers received a report that a juvenile male, age 10-12, was just starting to move in the street. Police found a juvenile conscious and breathing as paramedics arrived. The juvenile/male was transported from Fernandez and Grove to Northwest Community Hospital.
Minutes later, police received a report of an underage drinking party in the 400 block of South Yale Avenue. Police confirmed several youths were present at an underage drinking party.
At least eight police squads eventually arrived at the Yale address to process evidence and check on the well-being of all persons present at the home. Police were equipped with portable breathalyzer test devices.
Police reported finding juveniles hiding in closets on the second floor. One juvenile was transported to the hospital by paramedics from the house after reporting feeling sick … following consumption of six shots of Jack Daniels.
At least one adult was transported in custody to Arlington Heights police headquarters. At least one male juvenile was also transported in custody to Arlington Heights police headquarters.
At least one youth was transported to the police station because parents could not be contacted by phone. Some juveniles may have been delivered to their parents at home.
