Sixteen Australian fire crews used high-powered hoses to fight a massive blaze at a paint factory that produced a huge plume of smoke and forced evacuations in the Sydney suburb of Mount Druitt.

A warehouse marked NCS Resins containing more than 20,000 liters of solvent and resin was hit by a massive fire that began about 12:40 p.m. local time along Kurrajong Avenue in Mount Druitt, Austailia. Several BLEVEs with explosions were caught on video during the fire. About 100 firefighters were called to fight the fire, which took about two hours to get in under control.

The paint factory fire was the third fire in the Sydney vicinity in the past 24 hours.

A vehicle mechanic shop at an industrial complex in Ham Street, South Windsor burned at 10.20 p.m. Thursday night.

At about 3.15 a.m. emergency services were called to another fire at an automotive business in Exceller Avenue at Bankstown, near the intersection of Canterbury Road.
