The Arlington Heights family of an airline worker, John Bruce, who was killed last year in Kuwait has filed a lawsuit against Chicago-based Boeing and Greenville, South Carolina-based CAV International.
John Bruce, 64, of Arlington Heights, was killed October 2009 when a CAV employee engaged a conveyor belt loader while John Bruce was standing on it, according to family attorney Tim Cavanagh. The workers were unloading a charter 747 jet that transported U.S troops to Kuwait when John Bruce was catapulted into the air and fell onto his head. He died days later.
CAV International primarily provides air terminal and ground handling services and passenger terminal operations for the US Air Force’s Air Mobility Command (AMC) and commissary services for the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA).
