Buffalo Grove police responded to three reports of mishandled wallets or purses last Wednesday, November 24, 2010.
A customer at the Seoul Supermarket, 1204 West Dundee Road dropped her wallet out of her purse about 1:00 p.m. without realizing the wallet was left on the parking lot surface. When she returned to the store, the wallet could not be found. Security video showed another customer picking up the wallet and leaving the area.
A customer at McDonald’s, 1200 North Arlington Heights Road accidentally left his wallet on the restaurant counter after he made a purchase about 3:30 p.m. When he realized his mistake and returned to the restaurant, no one knew the whereabouts of the wallet. The store owner was going to check the security video view of the counter.
A customer at Jewel-Osco, 79 North McHenry Road accidentally left her purse in the bathroom about 11:00 p.m. When she returned to look for the purse, the purse was gone. A Buffalo Grove police officer helped the woman check the bathroom, the surrounding interior areas of the store, and the exterior of the store. The store manager was going to check the check the security video view of the area.
