UPDATE: Police were acting on a tip that a suspect wanted for kidnapping was in the area.
Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove residents and shoppers along Dundee Road were amazed at a massive manhunt ongoing from about 7:30 p.m. through the early morning hours Friday. The search originated from the approximate area of Dundee Road and Trace at the Buffalo Ridge Condominiums.
Police departments from Arlington Heights, Elk Grove Village, Lincolnshire, Palatine, Prospect Heights and more are assisting Buffalo Grove Police Department in a meticulous search of the area. Multiple K-9 units are involved in the search. The Illinois State Police helicopter ‘Air One’ was also seen searching in the area.
