Arlington Heights police received a report about 10:05 PM Thursday of online deception and theft at Jewel-Osco, 1860 South Arlington Heights Road. Arlington Heights police received a report that a female, apparently from out of town, met a male online. The male picked up the female from “the airport” and the two drove to the Jewel-Osco parking lot, 1860 South Arlington Heights Road.
While parked in the lot at Jewel-Osco, the male sent the female into the store to get something. When the female returned outside to the parking lot, the male offender, his car and all of her luggage and belongings that were in his car were gone.
The offender is described as a male/Asian, 40-years-old, 5’4” heavy-set with shoulder-length hair. The offender was driving a silver vehicle with a pink car seat in the back seat.
The crime is reported to have occurred about 9:45 p.m. Thursday. Arlington Heights police are investigating.
