Inverness police, Palatine and Barrington firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:50 a.m. Friday to a one-car crash with a vehicle upside-down in a ditch at Palatine Road and Highland. An Inverness police officer on patrol discovered the vehicle, but no victims were in the area. Police and firefighter/paramedics immediately set up a search of the area and setup extra lighting in the brush in case an accident victim or victims were ejected from the car during the crash.
Firefighter/paramedics left the scene at about 4:15 a.m. Friday with no victim found. Inverness police took over the scene for investigation, and are investigating leads.
